Steph is our most recent addition to CK Clinic joining the team in January 2019.

Qualifying with a first in her physiotherapy degree in 2012 she has has worked within the NHS, alongside amateur rugby teams and in the private sector. Also Steph works for herself providing physiotherapy for patients in their own home.

Steph has a passion for treating patients and helping them to achieve their potential by working with them to achieve this. As the newest member of the team Steph brings her passion for team work, high level rehabilitation and manual therapy skills to CK Clinic.

 

Kylie Ferguson BA (HONS) FHT

Remedial Massage Therapist

Kylie is a qualified level 3 sports massage therapist registered with the FHT   (Federation of Holistic Therapists). As a former English Schools champion and national level sprinter, Kylie has developed a great understanding of the body under high pressure and has experienced a variety of recovery methods required to maintain a healthy body and high level performance.

Kylie has now transferred her knowledge and previous experience into helping others with body maintenance, injury and rehabilitation. Massage is not only for those taking part in sports. Muscle tension can build up for a variety of reasons.

Kylie is an extremely passionate and friendly individual dedicated to help remove tension and pain from a range of clients and conditions using soft tissue massage techniques, tailored to the individual.

Kylie joined CK Clinic in July 2016.

 

Amber Knowles BSc (HONS) Sports Therapy

Sports Therapist and Personal Trainer

Amber qualified as a Sports Therapist at The University of Bath in 2006 and has further trained in holistic therapy and personal training. Amber previously provided care for the Swindon Spartans and Calne RUFC and has always maintained a keen interest in many other sports including, gymnastics, hockey, volleyball, athletics, swimming, cycling, running and obstacle races. Amber is running the London marathon this year aswell as participating in the Superhuman games.

Utilising the skills and knowledge attained throughout her sporting life, Amber is able to provide manual and physical treatments including massage and mobilisation techniques specific to sporting injuries and those who share Ambers passion for sports.

To further progress her knowledge and career in Physical therapy and rehabilitation, Amber strives to learn new skills and techniques within the health and fitness industry. Recently qualifying in kinesiology taping and strapping. Amber is able to offer deep tissue massage, swedish massage, manual lymph drainage and pregnancy/post natal massage.

Amanda Berrill

Counsellor

I believe that a person’s journey is as individual as they are, with that in mind my practice draws on various therapeutic models most suited to the person and the issues that they bring. I offer short and long term counselling and psychotherapy. An initial, no cost, session of 30 mins is offered to help you get a sense of what counselling is like and to explore how we might work together. Subsequent sessions will be of 50 minutes duration.

I qualified from the University of Oxford and have been practicing for over ten years. Through my training and subsequent work, I have gained clinical experience within NHS settings, charitable organisations and corporate environments, having worked for a leading provider of Employee Assistance Programs.

I have had a varied career in the mental health field and have worked in NHS Addiction settings and latterly worked in secure environments for a number of years, also with the NHS.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and work in accordance with their ethical framework.

Lois McPherson

Counsellor

Lois is a student counsellor able to offer private counselling sessions here at CK Clinic. Studying at Bath due to qualify shortly, Lois specialises in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and REBT (Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy).

Treating adults only the appointments are initially for one hour (£32) and follow ups are 50 minutes (£30).

Louise Kempson

Practice Manager/Managing Director

Louise is Chris’s widow and has been the driving force behind the start up, finding our initial location at the Gym UK and has been a huge influence in progressing the clinic to where we are today. Louise qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2006 and as a Foot Health Practitioner in 2015. Louise adopted the role of practice manager as the clinic grew in the early days and gradually took on more roles and responsibility within the day to day running of the clinic. Now Louise is the full time practice manager and managing director and is responsible for client bookings, insurance companies, invoicing, marketing and general enquiries.

When Louise is not working or spending time with Juliet, she can be found in the gym or kickboxing. Louise loves to travel and explore new places, a passion Chris also shared and they managed 5 family holidays before Juliet turned 3, memories which will last forever as will Chris’s legacy CK Clinic.

Chris Kempson BSc (HONS) MCSP HCPC MAACP

Clinical Lead, Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and Director of CK Clinic

Chris began working in healthcare in 1999 as a physiotherapy assistant and qualified from the University of Hertfordshire in 2008. During this time Chris had worked in the NHS in areas including, Acute and Chronic Respiratory physiotherapy, medical and surgical wards, Orthopaedics, Elderly and Community Rehabilitation, in-patient rehabilitation, Neurological rehabilitation, Hydrotherapy and Musculoskeletal Outpatients, GP practices and private health care.

Chris specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy whilst moving to New Zealand where he was the lead clinician in a private practice.  On returning to the UK, Chris continued to follow his main career specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in Bristol as a private specialist until 2015 when he opened CK Clinic, his lifelong dream.

Chris was tragically killed in November 2018 leaving behind his wife Louise and young daughter Juliet. Louise has been managing the clinic with Chris and it was his wish for the clinic to be kept running. Chris was always so passionate about the clinic and getting his patients well and Louise shared his passion and will continue his legacy.

 

Becca Evans BSc (HONS) MCSP HCPC

Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Becca qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist from Keele University in 1998 and is registered with the Chartered society of Physiotherapy and the Health Care and Professions Council.

She has specialised in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy since 2000 and has worked predominantly within the NHS, in hospitals, GP practices and health centres. In 2012 Becca moved into the private sector in order to gain more experience treating acute injuries. Becca joined CK Clinic in October 2016.

Becca is an experienced physiotherapist offering a wide range of treatments for a variety of musculoskeletal problems. She aims to treat you area of pain, but more importantly, to address the underlying cause of your problem.

This will all be done by combining hands on treatment with specific exercises targeted at addressing any poor movement patterns and biomechanics, and then giving exercises to gradually build up the body`s ability to cope with loads put on it. Becca aims to give you the knowledge and skills to start helping yourself to reduce pain and stop it from reoccurring.

 

Debbie Poulston BSc (HONS) MCSP HCPC

Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Debbie used to work with Chris and he persuaded Debbie to join CK Clinic in November 2016. He always admired her kind and caring approach to patients.

Debbie qualified as a physiotherapist in 2012 and has worked within the intermediate care team in Wiltshire and as a community physiotherapist.

Debbie also specialises in Indian head massage.

Thamem Khan MSc (HONS) MCSP HCPC

Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Thamem qualified as a physiotherapist in Chennai, India in 2009 and then completed his Masters in Advanced Sports Therapy and  Rehabilitation Science in 2010 in University of Teeside, Middlesborough.

Thamem has an abundance of experience working both in India and the UK, working as a sports physiotherapist, working in Elderly Care and Mental Health, in an acute hospital, medical centres and private MSK outpatients.

Thamem specialises in treating musculoskeletal problems, neurological and neuro-musculoskeletal issues.

Thamem combines his wealth of knowledge with his manual skills to ensure he is able to help his patients achieve their goals and work towards becoming pain free.

Thamem joined CK Clinic in March 2018.

Chris specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy whilst moving to New Zealand where he was the lead clinician in a private practice.  On returning to the UK, Chris continued to follow his main career specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in Bristol as a private specialist until 2015 when he opened CK Clinic, his lifelong dream.

Chris was tragically killed in November 2018 leaving behind his wife Louise and young daughter Juliet. Louise has been managing the clinic with Chris and it was his wish for the clinic to be kept running. Chris was always so passionate about the clinic and getting his patients well and Louise shared his passion and will continue his legacy.

 

Becca Evans BSc (HONS) MCSP HCPC

Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Becca qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist from Keele University in 1998 and is registered with the Chartered society of Physiotherapy and the Health Care and Professions Council.

She has specialised in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy since 2000 and has worked predominantly within the NHS, in hospitals, GP practices and health centres. In 2012 Becca moved into the private sector in order to gain more experience treating acute injuries. Becca joined CK Clinic in October 2016.

Becca is an experienced physiotherapist offering a wide range of treatments for a variety of musculoskeletal problems. She aims to treat you area of pain, but more importantly, to address the underlying cause of your problem.

This will all be done by combining hands on treatment with specific exercises targeted at addressing any poor movement patterns and biomechanics, and then giving exercises to gradually build up the body`s ability to cope with loads put on it. Becca aims to give you the knowledge and skills to start helping yourself to reduce pain and stop it from reoccurring.

 

Debbie Poulston BSc (HONS) MCSP HCPC

Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Debbie used to work with Chris and he persuaded Debbie to join CK Clinic in November 2016. He always admired her kind and caring approach to patients.

Debbie qualified as a physiotherapist in 2012 and has worked within the intermediate care team in Wiltshire and as a community physiotherapist.

Debbie also specialises in Indian head massage.

Thamem Khan MSc (HONS) MCSP HCPC

Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Thamem qualified as a physiotherapist in Chennai, India in 2009 and then completed his Masters in Advanced Sports Therapy and  Rehabilitation Science in 2010 in University of Teeside, Middlesborough.

Thamem has an abundance of experience working both in India and the UK, working as a sports physiotherapist, working in Elderly Care and Mental Health, in an acute hospital, medical centres and private MSK outpatients.

Thamem specialises in treating musculoskeletal problems, neurological and neuro-musculoskeletal issues.

Thamem combines his wealth of knowledge with his manual skills to ensure he is able to help his patients achieve their goals and work towards becoming pain free.

Thamem joined CK Clinic in March 2018.

 

Steph Heyes BSc (HONS) MCSP HCPC

Specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist

Steph is our most recent addition to CK Clinic joining the team in January 2019.

Qualifying with a first in her physiotherapy degree in 2012 she has has worked within the NHS, alongside amateur rugby teams and in the private sector. Also Steph works for herself providing physiotherapy for patients in their own home.

Steph has a passion for treating patients and helping them to achieve their potential by working with them to achieve this. As the newest member of the team Steph brings her passion for team work, high level rehabilitation and manual therapy skills to CK Clinic.

 

Kylie Ferguson BA (HONS) FHT

Remedial Massage Therapist

Kylie is a qualified level 3 sports massage therapist registered with the FHT   (Federation of Holistic Therapists). As a former English Schools champion and national level sprinter, Kylie has developed a great understanding of the body under high pressure and has experienced a variety of recovery methods required to maintain a healthy body and high level performance.

Kylie has now transferred her knowledge and previous experience into helping others with body maintenance, injury and rehabilitation. Massage is not only for those taking part in sports. Muscle tension can build up for a variety of reasons.

Kylie is an extremely passionate and friendly individual dedicated to help remove tension and pain from a range of clients and conditions using soft tissue massage techniques, tailored to the individual.

Kylie joined CK Clinic in July 2016.

 

Amber Knowles BSc (HONS) Sports Therapy

Sports Therapist and Personal Trainer

Amber qualified as a Sports Therapist at The University of Bath in 2006 and has further trained in holistic therapy and personal training. Amber previously provided care for the Swindon Spartans and Calne RUFC and has always maintained a keen interest in many other sports including, gymnastics, hockey, volleyball, athletics, swimming, cycling, running and obstacle races. Amber is running the London marathon this year aswell as participating in the Superhuman games.

Utilising the skills and knowledge attained throughout her sporting life, Amber is able to provide manual and physical treatments including massage and mobilisation techniques specific to sporting injuries and those who share Ambers passion for sports.

To further progress her knowledge and career in Physical therapy and rehabilitation, Amber strives to learn new skills and techniques within the health and fitness industry. Recently qualifying in kinesiology taping and strapping. Amber is able to offer deep tissue massage, swedish massage, manual lymph drainage and pregnancy/post natal massage.

Amanda Berrill

Counsellor

I believe that a person’s journey is as individual as they are, with that in mind my practice draws on various therapeutic models most suited to the person and the issues that they bring. I offer short and long term counselling and psychotherapy. An initial, no cost, session of 30 mins is offered to help you get a sense of what counselling is like and to explore how we might work together. Subsequent sessions will be of 50 minutes duration.

I qualified from the University of Oxford and have been practicing for over ten years. Through my training and subsequent work, I have gained clinical experience within NHS settings, charitable organisations and corporate environments, having worked for a leading provider of Employee Assistance Programs.

I have had a varied career in the mental health field and have worked in NHS Addiction settings and latterly worked in secure environments for a number of years, also with the NHS.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and work in accordance with their ethical framework.

Lois McPherson

Lois is a student counsellor able to offer private counselling sessions here at CK Clinic. Studying at Bath due to qualify shortly, Lois specialises in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and REBT (Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy).

Treating adults only the appointments are initially for one hour (£32) and follow ups are 50 minutes (£30).

Louise Kempson

Practice Manager/Managing Director

Louise is Chris’s widow and has been the driving force behind the start up, finding our initial location at the Gym UK and has been a huge influence in progressing the clinic to where we are today. Louise qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2006 and as a Foot Health Practitioner in 2015. Louise adopted the role of practice manager as the clinic grew in the early days and gradually took on more roles and responsibility within the day to day running of the clinic. Now Louise is the full time practice manager and managing director and is responsible for client bookings, insurance companies, invoicing, marketing and general enquiries.

When Louise is not working or spending time with Juliet, she can be found in the gym or kickboxing. Louise loves to travel and explore new places, a passion Chris also shared and they managed 5 family holidays before Juliet turned 3, memories which will last forever as will Chris’s legacy CK Clinic.
